Robinson Barracks - Jan 1984 - Ed Ewing - LHS '65

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did in resurrecting them. They were originally slides that I took on a business trip. The slides wound up in a box stuck away in a closet for 20 years but in the Fall of 2004, I purchased a digital slide copier and went to work putting these images into a more useful format. As you probably know, a lot of what you see in these photos either no longer exists or has changed significantly.
My family and I lived in Robinson Barracks for seven years from August 1957 to August 1964. Back then the apartment we lived in was numbered 11-A-5. Also back then, what eventually became a library located near the Church, was the AYA (American Youth Activities) building which was our major place to hang-out. I attended Robinson Barracks Elementary and Junior High as well as LHS until the end of the 1963-64 school year. As you'll notice, I threw in a few shots of LHS as a bonus. In April 2013, I also added four circa 1959 photos of the swimming pool at Bad Canstatt. Feel free to drop me a line if you wish at ewinged@yahoo.com.
